As an experiential marketing firm, our industry was severely impacted by Covid-19. We saw industry giants collapse in the matter of weeks. Our own company was not without our own struggles during this time. As the country shut down for about 8 weeks, our firm ceased all of our projects. Consequently our company generated no revenue. Across the country we saw millions of hard working employees furloughed and laid off. Although it was arguably not the smartest financial decision, our executes decided they would personally fund our company’s payroll to ensure no one missed a single paycheck. This time was monumental in our firms history. Our founder was quoted in saying that “Covid, similar to money and power; don’t change people, they just exposed who we truly are.” This act from our C suite had a profound impact on our employees loyalty that can still be felt to this day.

The second way we have been impact by covid-19, is by facing an increasing demand for our services. Many of our former competitors were not able to survive the pandemic which is unfortunate for them but our clients have therefore turned to us with more work to do than ever before. As a result, our HQ in Chicago is looking to continue expanding despite the country’s current economic struggles.
